Abstract
The peculiarity of the new laser material calcium-niobium-gallium garnet (CNGG) is its low melting point (below 1500°C). That gives an opportunity to synthesize these garnets using technology avoiding the presence of iridium crucibles, which simplifies the crystal growth procedure and reduces the cost of the process of the synthesis compared with other garnets.
