Design of Si Photonic Crystal Waveguide for High Performing Slow Light Devices

Abstract

We optimized SiO2-cladded Si photonic crystal waveguide for low-dispersion slow light with ng ≈ 20 at full C-band with efficient transition structures. We also investigated air-cladded waveguide that expands the FOV for LiDAR applications.
