Ultra-Low-Loss Spliceless Fiber Ring Resonators for Resonant Micro-Optic Gyroscopes

Abstract

A new record for ultra-low-loss spliceless fiber ring resonators, to the best of our knowledge, is demonstrated experimentally. The measured finesse and Q-factor of the 60-cm long fiber ring resonator are 1324 and 3.7×108, respectively.
