Broadband soft glass photonic crystal fiber polarization splitter

Abstract

We report on a novel soft glass dual-core photonic crystal fiber(DC-PCF) with a chalcogenide glass core, whose polarization dependent coupling can be enhanced by the high refractive index As2S3 core. Numerical results demonstrate the designed soft glass DC-PCF application as a broadband polarization splitter.
