Subfemtosecond pulse generation using large Raman coherence in solid hydrogen

Abstract

The interaction of a fs-probe pulse with a Raman medium excited by two ns laser pulses is numerically investigated. A train of subfemtosecond pulses (SFPs) as well as a single attosecond (as) pulse can be observed.
