Abstract

The molecular alignment and fragmentation dynamics in laser-induced Coulomb explosion of N2 has been studied in pump-probe experiments using linearly and circularly polarized, 40 fs high-intensity (> 1015 W/cm2) Ti:sapphire laser pulses.
