Feedback Optimization of Gas-Phase Molecules and Clusters by Shaping of Ultrashort Laser Pulses

Abstract

A tailored ultrashort laser pulse was applied to the alkali clusters, and the emerging photoions were optimized by computer-controlled feedback optimization algorithm. The resultant pulse shape is consistent with the vibrational motion in the excited states.
