Abstract
Compressor-controlled chirped pulses from a chirped pulse amplification Ti:sapphire laser were characterized in detail using the frequency-resolved optical gating technique, and their phase characteristics and pulse duration were quantitatively analyzed. The analysis of chirped pulses in the time-frequency domain was performed using the Wigner distribution, which clearly showed the evolution of the spectral structure in time.
