Abstract

A new type of monochromatizing and focusing X-ray optical device for hard X-rays (λ~1A) is proposed. The device is composed of a the multilayer zone plate (MLZP) and a monochromator crystal. By combining the dispersive characteristics of the crystal and the focusing capability of the MLZP, the device is supposed to efficiently work as a kind of Bragg Fresnel lens (BFL).
