Abstract

Corrugated thin P-clad structures in which the lasing mode interacts with the metal contact have been used recently to fabricate singlefrequency distributed-feedback (DFB) lasers in edge-emitting configurations1 and highpower DFB lasers with low divergence beams in surface-emitting configurations.2
