Abstract
Experimental results of high-average-power harmonic-frequency doubling and tripling are presented. The recent advent of high-repetition-rate diode-pumped solid-state lasers (DPSSL) and phase-conjugated laser extraction schemes simultaneously produce high average power and good beam quality. These DPSSL advances, coupled with continuing developments and refinements in harmonic- frequency-conversion crystals and coatings, provide an unique opportunity to demonstrate high-average-power visible and UV sources in the 175-300-W regime.
