Abstract
The propagation of radiation in the atmosphere is affected by atmospheric turbulence. These turbulent eddies give rise to variations in the atmospheric index of refraction, which in turn control the path taken by radiation. Measuring and modeling the optical turbulence parameters are, therefore, important to anyone doing propagation studies of the atmosphere.
