Abstract

We report on the generation of single-frequency cw ultraviolet radiation from 243 to 247 nm at multimilliwatt power level by double-cavity enhanced 90° phase-matched sum-frequency mixing in ammonium dihydrogen phosphate near room temperature. In two previous papers, Couillaud et al, reported on the generation of single-frequency UV radiation by sum-frequency mixing of a dye laser and an argon-ion laser.1,2
