Raman Character of the Photosensitizer-Free Singlet Oxygen Photogeneration within Water

Abstract

We study the Raman photogeneration of singlet oxygen in water without using photosensitizers. We demonstrate the Raman character of the effect by measuring the signal’s frequency shift, time evolution, power dependence, and ring structure.
