Phase Reconstruction from Transmission for Long-Period Fiber Gratings

Abstract

We demonstrate a method to reconstruct the phase spectrum of a long-period fiber grating (LPFG) from its transmission spectrum. We apply the method to different kinds of LPFGs and verify it both numerically and experimentally.
