Pulsed Laser Deposition of Relaxed ZnSxSe1-x Thin Films for Waveguiding Applications in Mid-IR Active Cr2+:ZnSe Multilayered Structures

Abstract

Several films of ZnSxSe1-x were deposited at various temperatures and compositional parameters by pulsed laser deposition. Films were characterized via x-ray diffraction for crystal quality and impact of sulfur incorporation on epitaxy and defect density.
