Optimization of Resonantly Pumped Er:YAG Lasers by Modeling Energy Transfer Up-Conversion Processes

Abstract

A theoretical model describing the performance of an Er:YAG laser under the influence of energy transfer up-conversion (ETU) is derived. The model was used to optimize an efficient diode-pumped Er:YAG laser at 1645 nm.
