Randomized apertures: high resolution imaging in far field: erratum

Open Access Open Access

Abstract

We note a correction to Eq. (6) for [ Opt. Express 25(15), 18296 (2017)].

© 2017 Optical Society of America

Both Eq. (6) and the associated sentence above it contain erroneous oversimplifications [1]. The equation “hθ (x) = h(xθf)” should be replaced with h(x, θ) = ∫ ρs (λ)ρc (λ)P(x, λ, θ)dλ, and Eq. (6) should be replaced with

I(x)=jh(x,θj)=j[ρs(λ)ρc(λ)P(x,λ,θj)dλ].
These corrections are in accordance with our actual implementation and do not change our reported results. This erratum is provided to avoid possible confusions about the numerical model for polychromatic point sources.
