Absolute frequency readout derived from ULE cavity for next generation geodesy missions: erratum

Open Access Open Access

Abstract

We found a calculation error affecting the scaling of results presented in Figure 7 of our article "Absolute frequency readout derived from ULE cavity for next generation geodesy missions" [Opt. Express 2926014 (2021) [CrossRef]  ] . The corrected Figure 7 is published here.

On page 26024 of Ref. [1], a second square root was applied during the plotting of the calculated Allan Deviation. With this corrected, Figure 7 of [1] should be replaced by the following new Fig. 1.

 figure: Fig. 1.

Fig. 1. Measured Allan deviation of frequency readout relative to stable Oven Controlled Oscillator (OCOX) reference and PDH readout. The FSR readout is performing within an order of magnitude of the expected next mission requirement, and is not limited by clock noise.
