Abstract

Various aspects of corneal cross-linking have been considered in this review, mainly in terms of the underlying photophysical processes, including comparison with photodynamic therapy. In addition, a thorough analysis of the cross-linking processes and assessment of the problems was performed. This enabled us to recommend ways to increase the effectiveness and reduce the duration of the treatment.
