Abstract

Reflection from a homogeneous-liquid–magnetic-liquid interphase boundary in an electric field was investigated in this paper. It was found that the reflectance from the interphase boundary changes in an electric field. The observed phenomenon was interpreted as interference in a thin concentrated layer at the interphase boundary, and the thickness and refractive index of this layer were found.
