Abstract

This paper discusses image-comparison methods used in the modern automatic-navigation systems of mobile robots. Features of the analysis of video data in problems involving the navigation of unmanned aircraft and terrestrial robots that operate indoors and outdoors are analyzed. The prospects of further improving the automatic image-analysis algorithms used for navigation are discussed.
