Abstract
This paper presents the results of numerical modelling of multilayer interferometers with controllable reflectance for the visible region, containing vanadium dioxide nanoparticles. The analysis was carried out for Fabry-Perot interferometers and one-dimensional photonic crystals. It is shown that the spectral shift of the reflection band in such structures accompanying a semiconductor-metal phase transition in vanadium dioxide can reach 50 nm, with a maximum reflectance of 80-98%. © 2004 Optical Society of America
