Abstract

In color matching studies, statistical tests of significance should not be made on each variable separately since these variables are related and, in general, correlated. Instead, one test should be made for all variables simultaneously. Multivariate generalizations are given for the basic significance tests and are illustrated by examples from actual color matching studies.
