Abstract
A visual photometer has been devised which facilitates observations in the mesopic and scotopic ranges. By a special mechanical construction the observer is enabled to record about 60 readings without the necessity of removing his eye from the eyepiece of the instrument. Apart from its control box, the instrument is easily held in the hand. The field has an apparent diameter of 12 degrees, and is divided vertically.
