A Spectrographic Method for the Determination of Magnesium in Ductile Cast Iron

Abstract

The development of a new engineering material, Ductile Cast Iron, at the Bayonne Research Laboratory of the International Nickel Co., Inc., was described recently. One of the critically controlled elements in its production is magnesium. A spectrographic method for its quantitative determination has been developed and is now described.
