Abstract

The title of this talk is somewhat of a generality—in this discussion, I will be referring mostly to our work with 70% Cu-30% Zn and 65% Cu-35% Zn. However, the procedure is applicable, with some minor changes in exposure conditions to other wrought Copper-base alloys. The method provides for the quantitative determination of Fe .01 to .15, Sn..01 to .15, Pb .01 to .15, and Ni .01 to .15%. It is possible to go up to .25% by choosing other lines. We also make a qualitative inspection for A1, Si, Sb and Bi.
