Abstract
A method for observing crystallization molecule-by-molecule is presented. The method is based on the properties of exciton transfer and emission spectroscopy, as established by several research groups during the sixties. The discussion centers on benzophenone (BZP) crystallization, although the ideas can be adapted to other molecular systems. It is the purpose here to pose a timely, relatively inexpensive way to monitor crystallization on an Ångstrom scale.
