Abstract

The system γ-aminopropyltriethoxysilane coupling agent on E-glass mats has been analyzed by the use of factor analysis to determine the number of pure components and extract the pure component spectra, to improve the signal-to-noise (S/N) ratio of the collected spectra, and to determine the concentration of unknown mixtures. Normalization of the scaling coefficients allows the construction of a calibration curve for the determination of the treating solution concentration by examination of the silane coupling agent on the glass mats.
