Infrared Spectroscopy in Supersonic Molecular Beams: v3 Band of SF6 at 10.6 μm

Abstract

A band contour analysis is shown for the <i>v</i><sub>3</sub> absorption of the flow-cooled SF<sub>6</sub>. Temperature dependence of the absorption feature is simulated. The possible utility of this technique as a temperature probe of flow-cooled gas mixtures is discussed.
