Abstract

Absorbance subtraction spectra, a common application of Fourier transform infrared (FT-ir) spectrometers, typically requires wavenumber scale repeatabilities of the order of 10−3 cm−1. Such repeatabilities are possible only if both spectra are taken with the <i>same</i> or <i>no vignetting,</i> as the following analysis shows.
