Using a FLIR camera, an IR-transmissive mirror is pulled back ~3 mm with a standoff ring to develop a multi-spot pattern of C3 symmetry; due to camera imaging limitations for beams exiting at different angles, camera position was optimized for observation of the bottom arm of spots studied. For details, see Webster et al., pp. 1958–1965.
