Abstract
The concept of the triple-product, an extension of the discrete bilinear transform, is introduced as a tool in logic design. The resulting system operates in a fashion similar to that of a truth-table lookup processor. Optical implementation of the triple-product system using liquid crystal light valves and acoustooptic cells is presented and experimentally demonstrated as a multiple-single-instruction multiple-data operation. A multiple-instruction multiple-data operation can also be realized using the triple-product system.
