Abstract

We present a conclusive study of the dynamics of excitons in photoexcited GaAs/GaAlAs quantum wells, using a novel interband-pump intersubband-probe technique. This technique probes the mid IR absorption due to optical transitions of carriers between their subbands, following photogeneration by a picosecond interband pulse.
