Abstract

We present intense sub-cycle optical waveforms (0.6 optical cycles) generated via the energy/power/bandwidth scalable approach of parallel parametric waveform synthesis. The generated millijoule-level optical pulses spanning from 650 nm to 2.1 µm in bandwidth and open up new possibilities for the generation of tunable isolated attosecond pulses and attosecond science.
