Differentiation of Bladder Cancer from Inflammation with Polarization-Sensitive Optical Coherence Tomography

Abstract

In this ex vivo study, we obtained PS-OCT datasets of normal, inflammation and tumor bladder samples collected from TURBT procedures. We showed that tissue birefringence and optical attenuation coefficient can differentiate tumor from benign tissue.
