Analysis of sunscreen penetration in skin using phase-modulated stimulated Raman scattering microscopy

Abstract

Skin penetration of sunscreens was analyzed nondestructively using coherent Raman microscopy. The penetration rate of octyl methoxycinnamate was found to be dependent on the molecular weight of the base silicone oil.
