Population Inversion through Charge Exchange Process in Plasmas

Abstract

Population inversion due to charge exchange processes is investigated for helium-like ions in tokamaks by using a collisional radiative model. Dependence of charge exchange cross secions on the quantum numbers n, Z is estimated from the observed spectra.
