Abstract

This paper proposes to use the natural image statistics to reconstruct a potential image from a blurred image. The compressive sensing theory and the ℓ₁ minimization technique is used to iteratively estimate the image gradient. Its application can be easily extended to restoration of astronomical images, in the case that the image is sparse.
