Bandwidth-enhanced LFM waveform generation by dynamic control of an optically injected semiconductor laser

Abstract

A bandwidth-enhanced linear frequency-modulated (LFM) waveform generation scheme is proposed and demonstrated based on dynamic control of an optically injected semiconductor laser. LFM waveforms with bandwidths as large as 8 GHz are successfully generated.
