128 GSa/s SiGe Analog Multiplexer Enabling PDM-DSCM-PCS-256QAM Transmission over 80 km SSMF

Abstract

We report on a SiGe analog multiplexer operating at 128-GSa/s, supporting generation of 63.36-GHz-broad DSCM-PCS-256QAM signal. We successfully achieve net information rate normalized per electrical lane of 2.85-bit/sym/lane back-to-back and 2.81-bit/sym/lane after transmission over 80-km SSMF in a coherent system.
