Optical Thin Film Filters for UV and blue LEDs

Abstract

A numerical model to design and simulate optical thin film filter for LED and solid state lighting was developed, where a quarter –wave stack was used as a building block to design optical filters such as an optical band-pass filter, Distributed Bragg Reflector (DBR). Detailed optical performance of thin film filters was analyzed using this model.
