Generation, Manipulation and Detection of Single Photons

Abstract

We develop quantum devices to generate, manipulate and detect light at the single photon level by combining superconducting and semiconducting nanostructures. We use quantum dots to generate single and entangled photons and superconducting nanowires to detect single photons. Several applications can gain from these innovations.
