Single Quantum Dot Locked to Atomic Transition

Abstract

We tune and lock the exciton emission energy of a single quantum dot to an atomic transition. The locking precision of few micro-eV can allow for single charge sensing, spectral diffusion counteraction, and energy stabilization schemes.
