Abstract

Ultrasmall volume (Veff 2 6(λ/n)3) microdisks with embedded quantum dots are studied at cryogenic temperatures through an optical fiber taper waveguide probe, and high-resolution cavity mode wavelength tuning by nitrogen gas adsorption is investigated.
