Abstract

Two-photon photoassociation, as depicted in Hg. 1, has been used to obtain scattering lengths with high precision,1–3 to probe molecule/atom interactions,4 and to selectively remove a condensate from a quantum degenerate gas of 7Li atoms, in order to observe the growth and subsequent collapse of the condensate.5
