Abstract
Since the first demonstration of Bose Einstein Condensation (BEC), many believe that a continuous source of atomic matter waves may spur new applications of atom optics. Atom lasers have been demonstrated1 obtaining a maximum flux of 105 atoms/s. For many applications however, such as atom holography and atom interferometry, higher fluxes are desirable.
