Abstract

The study of matrix-doped metal nanoparticles with femtosecond spectroscopy allows one to probe the electron dynamics in the spectral region of the surface plasmon associated with the Mie scattering resonance. In this paper a new behavior corresponding to a wavelength dependent thermalization dynamics near the plasmon resonance is reported.
