Abstract

We have created an atomic fountain starting with a sample of laser cooled Na atoms. Excitation of the atoms between the F=1, mF=0 and F=2, mF=0 ground states have an observed linwidth of 2.0 Hz at ν = 1,772,626,129. +1/−10 Hz using the Ramsey resonance technique.
