Photonic Crystal Design through Talbot Effect

Abstract

This paper presents a novel technique to design complex periodic pattern for the 2D photonic crystal using Talbot self-imaging .The plane wave simulation in RSoft software exhibits photonic bandgaps for these 2D periodic structures.
